How to play
Everyone lies in a circle with heads toward the centre. One person throws a shoe straight up. Everyone closes their eyes. Just before it lands, the leader calls 'shoe', and everyone opens their eyes and tries to avoid being hit. The suspense is the fun. For younger or smaller groups, use a pillow or soft object instead of a shoe for safety.
