How to play
This is a variation on the game Spotto.
Select several leaders to hide throughout the designated area while the remaining leaders each have a torch for spotting participants. Participants must find the hidden leaders, while avoiding being spotted by the leaders with torches. When someone finds a leader they are given a token, to prove their discovery, for example a stamp on the hand. The person or team that finds all of the leaders first wins.
Brief the hiding leaders before you start. Give them the boundaries, tell them whether they are allowed to move, and agree on one recall signal, a whistle or the floodlights, that ends the game wherever everybody is. For the daytime version, with no patrols and no sneaking, play Leader Hunt.
